I get very excited when a friend of the Romance Chicks has a debut release. Seana Kelly’s new book, Welcome Home Katie Gallagher is no exception. Released into the wild earlier this month, I was lucky enough to get to read an advance copy of the story.
And I. Loved. It.
It’s funny and light while dealing with heavier topics of divorce, starting over, and long lost love. Here’s a bit of what the story is about:
Nobody said a fresh start would be easy
A clean slate is exactly what Katie Gallagher needs, and Bar Harbor, Maine, is the best place to get it. Except the cottage her grandmother left her is overrun with woodland creatures, and the police chief, Aiden Cavanaugh, seems determined to arrest her! Katie had no idea she’d broken his heart fifteen years ago…
One of my favorite parts of the story are all of the side characters–not only do we fall in love with Katie and Aiden, but we get to meet the totally lovable Bear (he’s a totally sexy handyman type) and a plethora of townspeople who keep Katie on her toes.
I cannot wait for Bear’s story (please, please, please write Bear’s story). I believe I will read it while drinking a “vat of margaritas with a bendy straw!”
