Earlier this month I read a book in a day. I have to be honest, this hasn’t happened in forever. I immediately e-mailed the author, Kari Cole, to see if she’d like to participate on the blog today. I’m so excited she said, “yes!”
I loved so much about this book. I’m thrilled to host both Kari and her heroine, Izzy, on the Romance Chicks blog today!
Hunt the Moon Interview with Izzy Myers
Yo. I’m Izzy Myers—though if my mate Luke had his way, it’d be Isabelle Wyland. *Rolls eyes* Please. Look, don’t tell him that I think it’s kinda cute how he calls me Isabelle, or hell, sugar. Seriously, don’t tell him. Dude is impossible already. But even if we do this whole wedding fiasco thing like he and my mom want, I’m not changing my name. I don’t see why we have to get married anyway. We’re werewolves. We’re already mated.
Anyway, I’m a helicopter pilot, US Army retired. I’m originally from Chicago, IL, but now I live in Black Robe, MT, and work with my brother, Freddie. We mostly fly tourists and pompous business people around now. Though, we also work with the local Search & Rescue teams. That part’s cool. It’s not Iraq, but the Cabinet Mountains can be tough to get around.
What was the first thing that attracted you to Luke?
Quick answer? Don’t know. Pheromones, I guess. But—crap. No, that’s the easy, old me answer and I’m trying not to be such a cynical bitch anymore, so…The first thing…hmm, I think it was how he wasn’t put off by my crazy. Ya know? It’s pretty cool when a guy sees all your bullshit and doesn’t run. He not only sticks around, but totally freakin’ gets you and appreciates the whole package. Prickly, nasty shell and all.
*Blushes* His ripped abs and messy, dark hair didn’t hurt either.
Do you prefer sex under the covers or under the stars?
*Glares* None of your freakin’ business, perv. Next question.
What is your best feature?
Hell, I don’t know. The way I fly a helicopter? No, wait, that’s an ability. Christ. Uh, Luke seems to like my eyes. *Blushes* Says they remind him of sunlit whiskey or something.
Are you a morning person? Or a night owl?
You know, I don’t really know. Most of my life, I wasn’t the one in control of when I got up or went to bed. Hmm… I like the way the air feels here in the mountains early in the morning. It’s cool and damp, smells like green, growing things. But I like the way everything looks when the moon rises around here, too. *Shrugs* Guess I still don’t know. As long as Luke’s around, it’s all good.
Would you rather dine on steak, seafood, or vegan?
*Sighs* That’s such a loaded question for me. Until I met Luke I was vegetarian. It wasn’t really something I chose. My grandmother was nuts and—sorry, no. Can’t talk about her. Look, all this stuff—vegetarian, vegan, whatever—it’s fine for humans. Werewolves not so much. It’s not healthy. I was wasting away. Dying probably. I’m still learning how to eat what’s good for me and what I like best. So far, got to say I like burgers. I really love the ones at this pub in town called The Golden Claw. The chef there makes the juiciest burgers. Luke takes me there a lot now. *Blushes again* He’s got this thing about feeding me. Ahem, moving on. Next?
What famous person would you like to meet?
Ah, that’s easy. Senator Tammy Duckworth from my state, Illinois. She was an Army combat pilot like me. She’s freakin’ badass.
Favorite sports team?
You gotta ask? The Chicago Bears, of course. You’re not a Packers fan are you? No? Okay, we’re good then. Later.
A quick game of This or That with Kari Cole.
- Tom Cruise or Tom Brady?
Cruise. Movies are good. Football, blech.
- Chris Evans or Chris Hemsworth?
Chris. It’s impossible to choose between them.
- Superman or Batman?
Superman. Christopher Reeves forever.
- Coke or Pepsi?
- Apple or PC?
- Early bird or night owl?
- Kit Kat or Snickers?
Kit Kat, definitely.
- Main course or dessert?
Depends on the main course. Perfection is pizza followed by ice cream.

Depends on my mood.

All of the above.
